Birthday Weekend: Day 2

Our one day at Disneyland was completely focused on our primary goal, to get to Radiator Springs!
As an adult, this ride is pretty darn fun. As a car nut, they manage to get enough car-related bits and pieces in there that held my interest and didn't seem too "fake".

The weather was SoCal perfect.
How many of you noticed this face on Tower of Terror?

I still love how magical and charming Disney is able to make their parks.

FIrst time seeing "World of Color" and I gotta say it was VERY impressive. Fortunately we got some good seats, but I would definitely want to watch it again if I could.
Good bye Disneyland!
Cafe racer anyone? Nothing too crazy, simple and black. If I ever get one, it'd probably be similar to this.
Handsome C/R, the Blue Bottle of SoCal. Great Americano, definitely want to go back next time I'm down there.

Birthday Weekend: Day 1

For my birthday weekend, my gf and I decided to go to SoCal for Disneyland. While it would be fun, the beginning was a little rough due to how early of a head start we had to get. It's not often you have moonlight shining in your eye when you wake up in the morning.
Picking up rental car at SFO.
Gf is trying to find a tune to wake us up
We could barely get on with all of the airport crowds. /s
Ah my old home, SoCal.
First stop after lunch was the Getty, one of my favorite places to go to when I was a college student. If you have the chance and an appreciation for car and architecture, I highly suggest going (plus it's free after parking)
A sleeping 'Murican icon.

A Calm Weekend

I may have an addiction to coffee, but I don't want to stop it anytime soon.
Those vanishing lines...
BMW's Estoril Blue is easily one of my all time favorite car colors. I'm glad they brought it back.
Ending the day with a walk by the bay.

Some Fresh Air

I am blessed to be living in one of the most beautiful places on Earth and yet I rarely get a chance to go out and enjoy any of it, so I've been pushing myself to start hiking on weekends.
Wanna guess where I live? :P

Some crazy tree formation.
And finally down to the sea.
I don't think I could live anywhere away from the ocean. There's just something about its vibe I couldn't leave behind. Anywho, onto the next post!

Whoops

So it's time for me to play catch up. Here's what I've been up to for the past... 2 months? Dang, time flies.
Lancia Scorpion I think? First time seeing one out in public.
So right in so many ways. Definitely among my favorite E36's.
Had a talk with the owner at a previous meet. The car has definitely had an interesting history, imported from Germany if memory serves me correct.
Would be interesting to see what it'd look like with body colored fenders. If it's anything like the previous Quattro, it'd look pretty darn good.
More Scorpion.
Ah M Coupes. You either love them or you hate them. Personally, I've always liked the quirky shape.
That shape...
More of that E36 doing it right.
See what I mean about Quattros?
More on the next post.
